A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

We're off to the mountains for the weekend for some necessary R&R. Though Christmas week was more fun than we could have imagined - it's just not the same as getting away to the mountains with nothing to do! What an adventure this year has been!
